I'm using Flickr for all my up to date photographs now, as I no longer have the time to produce galleries on this site like I used to. All the old stuff is still here though, in the archives! My Awards Much to my surprise, this website has managed to win an award or two
since I built it in February 2000. Dan's

Monty poses in the snow, Elmau, Austria, March 2007. Canon 400D with 18-55mm kit lens
Here's the second of our holiday pictures from Austria - in this one Monty is playing on the snowy slopes at the top of the mountain next to our resort. Posted Saturday, March 31, 2007
• Rafferty's Football
Rafferty's Football, Dane John, Canterbury, March 2003
I have just worked out how to use YouTube - an epiphany that over half the online community have had before me, I'm sure, but I'm still excited about the first video to feature on this site. Here is Raffy, aged nearly two, running around the park like a mad thing. Posted Thursday, March 29, 2007
• Mountaintop Fun
Fun and games on the mountaintop, Elmau, Austria, March 2007. Canon 400D with 18-55mm kit lens
A shot from our recent holiday in Austria in early March. We stayed at the Alpenhof Hotel in Elmau, and on this occasion had taken the vernicular railway to the summit and had lunch at the restaurant there. Here's Monty having lots of fun... Posted Thursday, March 29, 2007
• Raffy's Favourite Song
Rafferty's favourite song, which we have listened to about twenty times today...
Raffy is developing a real love for music and his favourite song at the moment is this - 'Grace Kelly' by Mika. We have listened to the song and watched the video on YouTube so many times to day that I have lost track. Anyway, at Raffy's request, here is a link to the video. Posted Sunday, March 25, 2007
• Trees and Reflections, Westbere
Trees and Reflections, Westbere, February 2007. Leica MP with Summicron 35mm Asph on Kodak BW400CN
I thought this was a nice shot that captured the gorgeous reflections of these trees in the marshes next to Westbere lakes...
Out on a Hearty Walk, Westbere, February 2007. Leica MP with Summicron 35mm Asph on Kodak BW400CN
This was taken on a nice winter morning when we packed the boys off to Westbere (not far) and forced them to do hearty walking and outdoor fun, with their friends Lizzie and Phoebe, on a beautiful woodland path next to the lake. Of course, they would rather have stayed at home watching Wonder Pets but then life just sucks when you're five... Posted Saturday, March 24, 2007
• Some shots of the boys...
Raffy on a good day, and Monty! January 2007. Leica M3 with Summicron 50mm DR on Kodak BW400CN
A nice picture of our two oldest boys with Raffy looking particularly special, one Sunday afternoon in January.
Monty in the woods, Canterbury, January 2007. Leica M3 with Summicron 50mm DR on Kodak BW400CN
Monty creeps through the undergrowth on his way to the secret base in a small patch of woodland next to our house.
Monty on the slide, Canterbury, January 2007. Leica M3 with Summicron 50mm DR on Kodak BW400CN
On the slide in our back garden, Monty sits waiting to be pushed by his brothers. I got several really nice shots of the boys this afternoon, while testing this new lens which is proving to be excellent. Not bad for a piece of glass about nine years older than I am... Posted Friday, March 23, 2007
