I'm using Flickr for all my up to date photographs now, as I no longer have the time to produce galleries on this site like I used to. All the old stuff is still here though, in the archives!
My Awards
Much to my surprise, this website has managed to win an award or two since I built it in February 2000.

 • Monty on his bike

Monty riding his bike on a sunny afternoon, Canterbury, February 2007.
Canon 400D with 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens

A nice shot of Monty riding his bike one afternoon this February - we had a surprisingly warm and sunny week, and it felt almost like May...

 • Monty the Tiger

Monty with Tiger facepaint, Canterbury, July 2006.
Motorola Razr V3 phone camera

I realised the other day that there were pictures on my mobile phone which I had taken every now and then, that went back to last April, and I had never transferred them onto my PC to look at them. My rather battered Razr V3 only has a little VGA camera so a lot of the pictures were rather 'Lomoesque' to put it kindly, but I did find this shot of Monty in tiger face paint at Raffy's school fete last summer. It was certainly eye-catching and after a little work in Photoshop seems to have come out quite nicely.

 • Stormy Sky in Bekesbourne

Stormy sky over pylons, Bekesbourne lane, November 2006.
Leica MP with Summicron 35mm Asph on Agfa APX 100

I was driving along Bekesbourne Lane one afternoon in November when I noticed this great stormy sky, and managed to pull over and walk back to take this shot.

 • Stodmarsh Tree

Lone tree in a field, Stodmarsh, December 2006.
Leica M3 with Summicron 50mm DR on Kodak BW400CN

While out walking on Boxing Day we passed this rather skeletal tree in a field, with mist obscuring the woods in the distance. I'd just had the M3 serviced and acquired a DR Summicron lens - nearly 40 years old but still capable of producing excellent results.

 • Raffy & Monty in Stodmarsh

Monty waits for Raffy running across a field, Boxing Day 2006.
Leica M3 with Summicron 50mm DR on Kodak BW400CN

A picture from our Boxing Day walk in Stodmarsh, about 4 miles outside Canterbury. There is some lovely marshland there - much loved by the twitcher community - with excellent walks to be had. In this shot, Monty waits for Raffy to come back from his run across the field.

 • Milo on Christmas Day

Milo playing with toy car, Christmas Day 2006.
Leica M3 with Summicron 50mm DR on Kodak BW400CN

We had a lovely Christmas for 2006 - my parents and Vanessa's dad Eddie and sister Tara came to spend it with us. This made for a nice lively household and the boys were thrilled to have all their grandparents with them. I took this shot of Milo as he played with a new toy car in the hallway.

 • A Trip to Wildwood

Raffy, Monty and their cousin Callum, Canterbury, February 2007
Pentax Optio WP

A trip out to Wildwood on a crisp Sunday morning in February - Raffy, Monty and their cousin Callum have fun climbing a large mound of gravel in the car park. I think they probably enjoyed this more than the visit to the park itself!
