Archives
I'm using Flickr for all my up to date photographs now, as I no longer have the time to produce galleries on this site like I used to. All the old stuff is still here though, in the archives!
My Awards Much to my surprise, this website has managed to win an award or two
since I built it in February 2000.

Air Vent in Herne Bay, November 2006. Leica MP with Summilux 50mm Asph on Kodak Tri-X 400
I saw this rather striking air conditioning vent while out for a walk by the sea in Herne Bay, in early November.

Shopping in Mercery Lane, Canterbury, October 2006. Leica MP with Summilux 50mm Asph on Kodak Tri-X 400
I found this among my last batch of developed films, and cropped the image a little because I liked this composition with the group of people in the foreground and the ancient street and cathedral stonework in the distance. It stuck me that this shot could have been taken at any time over the last 50 years (apart from the carrier bags, perhaps!)
Alleyway and Cathedral, Canterbury, October 2006. Leica MP with Summilux 50mm Asph on Kodak Tri-X 400
Another street shot, along Butchery Lane in Canterbury. Vanessa and I had just had lunch at the little cafe along this street. As we walked away I turned back and saw the light on the cathedral, so took this shot.

Fields in Minster, October 2006. Leica MP with Summilux 50mm Asph on Kodak Tri-X 400
I took this view of a recently ploughed field near Minster in East Kent about a month ago; it was a gloomy and rainy day, but I love the way the stripes in the field lead the eye into the picture.

| • A Day Out in Deal
|
Monty gives Milo a cuddle, October 2006. Leica M7 with Summilux 50mm Asph on Kodak Tri-X 400
This was taken on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Deal, on the East Kent coast. We met up with our friends Emma & Paul, and their daughters Phoebe and Lizzie for a walk along the pier and by the sea. The children enjoyed playing in the outdoor swimming pool that had been drained for the winter.

Milo helping to sweep up leaves, October 2006. Leica MP with Summilux 50mm Asph on Kodak Tri-X 400
Sweeping up leaves in Autumn is becoming a family tradition, as our driveway is overlooked by a number of beautiful, and particularly leafy, horse chestnut trees. These dump their load all over our drive at the slightest breeze every November, and this is a nice shot of Milo helping us to tidy up.

Another shot from the centre of Canterbury, taken one afternoon in October.
