I'm using Flickr for all my up to date photographs now, as I no longer have the time to produce galleries on this site like I used to. All the old stuff is still here though, in the archives!
My Awards
Much to my surprise, this website has managed to win an award or two since I built it in February 2000.

 • Happy 5th Birthday Raffy!

Raffy, Monty, Milo and Vanessa enjoy the bubble machine in the garden...

Today we are celebrating Raffy's 5th birthday - can't believe he is five already but here is our strapping young man telling me which episode of Doctor Who he wants to watch because he's not scared... and doesn't need to hold my hand anymore in car parks. Lots of fun will be had - friends over for a birthday tea and a big party at the play gym tomorrow for school friends. Not bad, my son.

 • Canterbury Cathedral and a dramatic sky

View across Canterbury rooftops from Northgate, looking towards the cathedral, June 2005
Leica M6 with Summicron 35mm f/2 on Kodak BW400CN film

I took this from the staff room window at work, early one morning when there was bright sunlight on the cathedral and a rather stormy sky.

 • Messing about in boats...

Raffy and Monty having fun with their new boat at Joss bay this weekend

Vanessa took this great shot of Rafferty and Monty on the beach on Sunday morning; we drove there early, at about 9am on Fathers' Day morning, before the sun became too hot. There were large pools of water left behind by the tide and the boys could play in their boat safely, as well as finding large numbers of live starfish that had been washed ashore.

 • Latest pictures of the boys

Milo is now sitting, crawling, standing up and generally getting into everything...

Just to keep up the momentum while I update the other photo albums, here are a couple of photographs of the boys taken over the weekend. Milo is becoming very active now, and in the space of a week he began to crawl and now stands up holding on to things. He can move quite quickly now and Raffy and Monty find this hilarious.

Raffy and Monty playing together on the doorstep with their superheroes...

Our bigger boys are enjoying the hot weather we are finally having. Yesterday we had the paddling pool out for the first time - filled with a lot of cups of water given the current hosepipe ban, of course ;-)
