| • A seaside walk on Easter Saturday
|
Over the Easter weekend my parents came to stay, as did Vanessa's dad Eddie. The boys loved having all their grandparents around and it's always great to have a full, lively house. On Easter Saturday we drove to Whitstable for a morning walk along the seafront; we were pleasantly surprised to bump into Mel and Emily doing the same thing, with Lucy's brother Peter and nephew Michael. We all adjourned to the cafe in Tankerton for coffees and hot chocolates.

| • Fields and Dark Clouds

After taking the majority of my pictures on a digital SLR recently, I thought I'd shoot a few rolls of black & white film for a change.

Canon EOS 1V with EF 50mm f/1.4 on Kodak BW400CN (1/50sec f/13 ISO 400)
This is taken on the southern outskirts of Canterbury, heading out towards Bridge and Dover. I was driving past this field and managed to catch the dark skies and bright sunlight on the nearly white dried grasses.

| • Raffy, Monty and the Holt girls
|
On the 12th March, Ruth, Nathan and the girls came down to Canterbury for a spot of lunch. I had fun cooking some more food from the Moro cookbook and a very pleasant afternoon and evening were had by all. Raffy, Monty and the girls had a great time playing together.

I'm very pleased to say that this site has won another award today - the Ground Zero Design Award. Have a look at the award program site at http://www.ground-z.org/ It's always nice to win awards, but this one is particularly good as the award program itself is highly rated (4.5) and quite rigorous.
