Archives
I'm using Flickr for all my up to date photographs now, as I no longer have the time to produce galleries on this site like I used to. All the old stuff is still here though, in the archives!
My Awards Much to my surprise, this website has managed to win an award or two
since I built it in February 2000.

| • Monty's 4th day
|
We are very pleased with Monty today, because he slept really well last night - and let us get some sleep too! He's unwrinkling nicely now, feeds really well and seems very relaxed and content. Raffy is still very enthusiastic about his little brother, and very gentle. He is fascinated with Monty's little hands and toes, and seems to find it very funny that they are so much smaller than his.
Monty has a busy day today - it's off to town to get his passport photo taken; we're all going to Portugal again at the end of August, so we need to hurry. Here's another little picture of him from this morning...

| • Monty's second day...
|
Our brand new boy is settling in well at home - he seems to be a night-owl like Raffy was, and sleeps all day, parties all night, never grows old, never er... or was that the Lost Boys? Anyway, he had a nice walk into Canterbury today, and then came to The Red Lion with Mummy, Daddy, Grandad and Auntie Gail - and watched his big brother chase the chickens around the garden. We can't believe how little he is! Vanessa is very well - pretty much back to normal, really. Anyway, we'll keep you posted.

| • First pictures of Monty...
|
Just got back from the hospital after taking Rafferty up to meet his little brother - he was fascinated with the baby and surprisingly gentle... Monty survived the experience with all fingers and toes attached! Raffy gave 'his baby' lots of kisses and was very excited. But here are the pictures, starting with his first ever photograph, taken when he was only a minute old! We think he looks a little different to Rafferty, and a little more like Vanessa than me.
Watch this space for more news of Monty's progress over the next few weeks! Vanessa will probably be staying in hospital overnight to get a good night's sleep - Raffy still tends to wake up quite early these days;

| • Monty's Arrival!
|
We are delighted to announce the birth of our second son, Montgomery Charles Benedict Horton-Szar, at 05:07 on Sunday 6th July 2003, weighing 7lb 7oz. Both Vanessa and Monty are doing very well - the labour only lasted an hour and Vanessa didn't even get blood on her nightie! Pictures coming as soon as I get home - I'm typing this on the ward PC.
